Nabr / SoFA One Highrise in Downtown San Jose

   The newest hottest highrises in Downtown San Jose is being planned and sold by a company from New York City called Nabr. SoFA One, SoFA Two and SoFA Three are the names that they have given to their towers being built between 2nd and 3rd Streets and E. San Salvador St. and taking the place of the longtime downtown San Jose Asian Dai Thanh Super Market and Dakao Sandwiches. Of the three towers that Nabr are constructing only SoFA One is for sale at this time. The San Jose building is Nabr's first ever tower for sale with plans to expand its system around the world. Nabr's building system for SoFA One uses a hybrid of recycled steel and sustainably harvested mass timber for the structural components, or "bones" and "skin" that will have 150 one, two, and three-bedroom homes featuring spacious and open floor plans.

   Nabr residents will have access to a private resident park with outdoor seating and bookable barbecues that offer a great spot for socializing and family gatherings, as well as a dog park. The fitness center, sited directly in front of the outdoor wellness area surrounded by a sensory garden, can host yoga classes and other wellness events and will be run by a world-class gym operator. The co-working lounge includes an indoor lounge with beverage bar and library and an outdoor co-working space with power outlets and shading to reduce screen glare. Each Nabr tower includes a ground-floor lobby with an attendant, where residents can sign in guests, receive mail/packages, and store their bikes. The lobbies are clad in sustainable timber that is used throughout the building, creating a warm entry to the SoFA towers. The rooftop of SoFA One and Two provides additional indoor and outdoor communal space for residents, including a Chef’s Table, wine cooler and refrigerated storage, perfect for social gatherings, and can be rented for events.

   So far there have been a lot of news coming from the builder as they continue with their pre-sales which started in Fall of 2022. In the Spring of 2023 is when groundbreaking is expected for this building with a Winter 2024 final construction and anticipated move-in timeframe.
